Time: 19:00 to 20:30

Autism and Fashion: An In-Person Event

Join us for a relaxed and friendly event all about autism, clothes, accessories and fashion. Many autistic people have unique needs and preferences when it comes to clothing—whether it’s about textures, fabrics, colours, or patterns. This session is a chance to share experiences, swap tips, and find new inspiration by looking at current trends.

We’ll explore how comfort and self-expression can go together, with real clothing examples to try out. Expect discussions on charity shop treasures, sustainable fashion choices, accessories, and how to create a wardrobe that truly works for you.

The event will also feature:

  • A fashion show where participants can showcase outfits they enjoy wearing;
  • A presentation on current trends, brands that do sensory friendly clothing, how we choose what we wear and
  • A craft activity: knitting scarves

Whether fashion excites you or clothing feels like a challenge, this event is designed to be inclusive, supportive, and enjoyable. Come along, connect with others, and discover new ways to express yourself through how you dress.

This event will be an in-person only event.

The event’s activities begin at 19:00. You are welcome to arrive from 18:30, in time for refreshments.

There’s no charge to attend the event, but a suggested donation of £2 is welcomed.
