ALAG and the Autism Hub invite you to an online event covering Research in Autism and Menopause. 

Presented by Rebecca Charlton, the event will cover:

  • Brief overview of lower autism diagnostic rates in girls and women and how this impacts what we know.
  • What we know so far about autism and menopause.
  • Summary of some research that Rebecca Charlton has been doing.
  • What is the impact of co-occurring conditions, and how does ADHD impact menopause experiences?
  • There will be lots of time for questions and Rebecca welcomes reflections of what you think for next directions of research in this space. 

About the speaker: 

Rebecca Charlton, Professor in Psychology at Goldsmiths.

Professor Charlton’s research focuses on changes in later-life and the factors that promote healthy ageing. Her work examines how ageing effects autistic and other neurodiverse people in terms of health, cognition and well-being. Rebecca has recently been involved in research that examines menopause in autistic people. Rebecca leads the GoldAge Lab.
