Bursting the Bubble: Mindfulness & Bingo Special

Our final ALAG / Autism Hub session of 2025 was a lively festive in-person gathering, giving everyone the chance to meet face-to-face, reconnect, and share ahead of the new year.

The session focused on mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Our guest speaker, Vivi, demonstrated how she uses bubbles to support calm breathing and sensory regulation. The bubbles were not only visually captivating but also added a playful, therapeutic element — and many attendees were keen to try them out. A standout moment was creating a life-sized bubble with a participant inside.

The “worst Christmas cracker jokes” contest proved both competitive and hilarious, while two rounds of festive bingo added extra energy to the evening.

For anyone wanting a quieter space, a craft table offered a soothing alternative where people could make their own festive decorations. There were also plenty of opportunities for relaxed conversation and social connection throughout the event.

It was a warm, fun, and engaging way to end the year, and I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the festive atmosphere.
