Event – autism and reasonable adjustments

Autism and reasonable adjustments, 7 November 2023
19:00 to 20:30 online only.

The Autism Hub and ALAG invite you to join us for our event on autism and reasonable adjustments.

Autistic people are entitled to reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010 for accessing services or at work. This includes, but is not limited to, your employer, NHS services, schools, universities. Reasonable adjustments must be reasonable and must also be relevant to that person (often called person-centred).

The evening will explore the following topics:

  • Your rights as an autistic person and the duties of statutory services (based on the Autism Act 2009 and the Autism Strategy).
  • Reasonable-adjustments: examples of where to ask and what you might ask for.
  • How you might ask for reasonable-adjustments including disclosing you are autistic and self-advocacy.
