Spot the Connection – An Interactive ALAG Summer Special

Spot the Connection – An Interactive ALAG Summer Special

The July 2024 ALAG / Autism Hub event was an interactive summer special. The event took place at the regular location north of King’s Cross, at Jean Stokes Community Centre. Several rooms with different activities enabled those who attended to choose which activity they preferred, with most choosing the quiz.

The event began with a two part quiz round, with the participants invited to spot the connections. Individuals won chocolate or fidget toys for each correct question. With the connection correctly spotted just three rounds in, the remainder of the quiz was packed with bonus questions and diligent scoring. The second round, was the team quiz, with themes of summer and Pride. This time it was ‘Trains’ vs ‘Buses’ with buses taking the win.

For those who wanted a break from the busy quiz, there was crafts and board games in a separate room offering a calming environment. Between the quiz’s there was time for social chat, more snacks and a chance to look at the new activity notice board.

I really enjoyed being a part of the fun, interactive and summertime event.
