Webinar – 7 Dec 2021 – Celebrating achievements in 2021

ALAG and Autism Hub’s last event of 2021 was a celebration. A celebration of personal achievements and achievements of the work ALAG and the Autism Hub.

New members, new topics for webinars, some outdoor summertime meetings and collaborative work among autistic adults were the highlights for 2021. A colourful graphic with personal testimonials was included in the celebration event demonstrating the importance of the organisations and membership.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at the Charlie Ratchford Centre in Camden, a successful opportunity to present the work of the co-researcher group of autistic adults – before an audience of Camden council officials. This celebration of our work was another noted success at the end of year ALAG and Autism Hub event.

The event also celebrated the tireless work of ALAG co-ordinator Ethney Anderson who is retiring and will be missed. I was particularly touched by the music and poetry from some of the contributors – expressing their own gratitude on Ethney’s work making ALAG the success that it is today.

Ethney’s work and the team she bequeaths means more success in the future. From ALAG and the Autism Hub, expect more new topics from future events and more collaboration from members. And based on the enthusiastic participation from the audience, more energetic and topical event quizzes.
